Mario is always portrayed as being a kind-hearted and brave hero. He helps those in need without any hesitation. Despite his status as a great hero, Mario is very humble. His cheerful personality and love of life make him a very approachable video game character. He also has a love of pasta, as the stereotypical Italian does. This was first started in the cartoons, but soon afterward, Nintendo supported the idea by having Mario dream of pasta. On his trip to Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine, he daydreams about the food there. Also, in Super Mario 64, if the player does not press any buttons for long enough Mario will take a nap and mutter the names of various pastas in his sleep.-Wikipedia-The FREE encyclepedia! Princess Peach is portrayed as being the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. No reigning monarchy appears to exist, although in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, she has a grandmother and a chancellor who appear to be in charge of ruling the Mushroom Kingdom. Like most characters from the Mario franchise, her backstory is purposely left vague and undeveloped. Her father was a common character in the Nintendo Comics System stories, in which he was portrayed as a bumbling person of little intelligence. Interestingly, while Peach is usually depicted as being content to simply bake cakes and rely on her emotions to defeat enemies (as in Super Princess Peach)...
Princess Peach is a very kind, well-mannered, and noble person, which is shown in most of her appearances. Her trophy description in Super Smash Bros. Melee describes her as magnanimous and willing to even play a tennis match with Bowser, despite all of the trouble he has caused her. According to the Paper Mario and the Mario & Luigi series, she possesses a pure heart and a pure voice. Another trait in her personality is her eagarness to help out whenever possible. In Super Mario Bros. 3, she would send Mario special items and give tips via letter whenever you completed an area. When she is kidnapped, Peach will do what she can to help Mario in his quests as seen in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Even as a baby, she was willing to help the Mario Bros. in Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time.

Bowser is depicted fairly consistently as nasty, brutish, and not particularly bright, though he still possesses some sarcastic wit. In Mario Party 5, Bowser reveals his optimistic nature, as upon the player defeating him and granting his wish for a worthy competitor, he says he tends to look at the good side of things. This is leading him to be portrayed with more and more sympathy, and some gamers have joked that all he really needs is a hug. It is odd to note that in some games he appears to be quite intelligent, although he is always considered evil. It's highly possible that there's more to him than he would like to let on.---Full Credit to Wikipedia!

Yoshis are known for their very long, sticky tongues, the ability to swallow almost anything, even things that are much larger than the Yoshis themselves are. Almost everything they swallow is transformed into (or encased in) an egg, which they have the ability to use as weapons. Yoshis prefer fruit, although they can and usually will eat other things including living creatures. Their noses, taking up half of their heads, can detect fruit buried underground and other strange secrets. Even though they have teeth, these are rarely seen or used. While the main Yoshi himself is depicted as green, other Yoshis in general come in a variety of colors. Some yoshis tend to be on the "fun" side, and normally take fighting as a game, upon which, these yoshis like to juggle their enemies with their feet.---Full CREDIT to Wikipedia.org
